Responsibilities:
Schedule PM shift, start time 3pm/ 4pm The Role Our Warehouse Operations team is one of the most vital departments in the company.
We have a dedicated team of receivers who receive up to 200 loads per week.
Due to our business model, we service and receive 100 local growers.
This position is responsible for all facility functions during the PM shift; receiving, cooling, packing, storage, shipping, and fiber (packaging).
Determine adequate personnel needs and staff as appropriate.
Effectively train personnel and establish performance goals of subordinates.
Maintain regular communications with the Operations Manager, Sales, cooler, and receiving.
Implement necessary warehouse policy and procedures to effectively control operations.
This position encompasses the overall authority of the facility for the PM hours.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience At least 3 years of warehouse/cooler/ receiving supevisory experience Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
Must have thorough knowledge of produce commodities.
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal human relations and collaboration skills.
Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously.
Candidate must demonstrate good time management skills.
Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft suite; intermediate to advanced level.
Experience and expertise in all areas of warehousing and supply chain logistics.
Must have an excellent work record with references from current and/or previous employers.
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (36-degrees) Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently Physical capacities to utilize moving motorized equipment (electric pallet jack, sit down forklift, stand-up forklift) in a fast paced environment.
